2006.02.17I am not talking about the Emmy and Golden Globe award winning show but about the 24 contestants who made it through to fight for the much coveted American Idol title. They are Ayla Brown, Becky O’Donohue, Brenna Gethers, Heather Cox, Katherine McPhee, Kellie Pickler, Kinnik Sky, Lisa Tucker, Mandisa, Melissa McGhee, Paris Bennett, and Stevie Scott for the females. Ace Young, Bobby Bennett, Bucky Covington, Chris Daughtry, David Radford, Elliott Yamin, Gedeon McKinney, Jose ‘Sway’ Penala, Kevin Covais, Patrick Hall, Taylor Hicks, and Will Makar compose the 12 males.
Too bad the Brittenum Twins never made it to the final 24 although I didn’t like them that much since they were so full of s***. My favorites include Taylor Hicks, the white-haired 29 year old, Chris Daughtry and Elliott Yamin for the males although I think Ace Young will get far in this competition. I know that Sway Penala may probably be a Filipino but I really don’t like his style. For the females I like Katherine McPhee, Kellie Pickler and Paris Bennett. I am not agreeable that they picked Brenna Gethers because I really was not impressed by her singing.
That’s about all I can say for now.
I like to root for the underdogs so I’m going with Taylor Hicks. Hehe… If Penala is a Filipino I might root for him. No clear winner has emerged yet, unlike last year where Carrie Underwood seemed to really be ahead of the competition.
