Anal what?
2006.04.28I am currently addicted to the song “Stinkfist” by Tool. It’s playing in a loop in Winamp as I type this entry. I know it’s a really old song; it was released way back 1996. Still, I like it and you don’t have to.
Thinking that it was another of those emotional and dark love songs, I searched for the meaning of the song title hoping that it would shed some light as to what the song meant. I found one and I must say that the meaning was far from what I had imagined it to be.
This is one of Tool’s most enigmatic songs, at least in what it could mean. Several people believe it could be taken literally, to be about anal fisting (hence all the referencing to penetration).
Although there was a disclaimer that this meaning was not verified, it still is a very amusing disturbing one. I can’t help but imagine what the hell is done during “anal fisting”. It’s making my stomach turn just thinking of it. It must really hurt like hell. Now I have a hint as to what the lines “finger/knuckle/elbow deep within/inside the borderline” of the song lyrics means.
Shit, imagine elbow deep inside the “borderline”. How much more perverted and sick can one person get, eh?
I still like the song though.
Would you believe that there actually men, and women who loved getting fisted up their butt? Ouucchhh!!! That’s a sure cure for constipation…

Same here! I like the band’s songs and I’ve been listening to them since my freshman year in college. I even have a copy of one of their older albums - undertow. They’re one of the bands that I never get tired of listening to.
Also, I’ve read somewhere that they’re currently recording for a new album. yeah. m/

Never heard of that song before but I looked up the lyrics and boy, it does tell something about anal fisting. Talk about ‘what is normal sex?’

@bleepster: i liked a perfect circle and i thought that tool was of the same genre. i found out later on that a perfect circle is no more(?) and the vocalist of both bands are one and the same. and yes, they have a new album. i think it’s called 10,000.
@jhay: hmmm … you must have some keen senses regarding bizarre sex (kidding!) because i thought that it was one of those dark love songs.

but i have to agree…there are some songs which, when you think about them make you sick to the gut, although it’s actually good…
