GIMPing along

2006.07.30

And I go on with my experimentation with GIMP. This time, I was trying to mimic the Andy Warhol look. It didn’t quite turn out as I expected but it was good enough for me.

That’s about it. Must get some sleep. It’s a monday again tomorrow…err…in a few minutes, that is.

The weird me

2006.07.29

Playing along with the meme Kikaygal tagged me with, I now present to you the weirdness in (or is it of?) me.

6 weird things about me:

  1. I believe that this blog is so worth reading.
  2. I like debating about trivial things.
  3. I end up getting a perfect score in videoke night-outs with my friends when I sing songs I don’t personally like (and even despise).
  4. I nibble on the collar lining of my shirt when I’m at home which ends up making small holes all over.
  5. I believe coffee is poison (but beer is not!).
  6. I think clearly when I’m taking a dump that I can come up with a line or two for a poem. Once I finish and get to my room, I forget those lines.

Time to tag 6 people, I guess. I tag (1) Carl, (2) Mungkey, (3) Shane, (4) Governor Nathan, (5) Pink, and (6) Roanne. That’s about it. Have a great, hangover-inducing weekend to all readers.

Memes can be great sometimes. It can help you evaluate yourself. Yeah whatever! I guess I’m weird.

Open source photo manipulation

2006.07.27

Been doing some stuff at home lately. Got myself a new toy to tinker with — GIMP. Most people say that it is the ultimate alternative to Adobe Photoshop. I like it because it’s open source and it’s technically free. It’s powerful enough to be used alongside Photoshop but still has a lot of room for improvement. But for now, it works for me.
