Milestones

2006.08.17

The past few days went like a blur. I haven’t had time to update this measly waste of bandwidth. Still, it’s my measly waste of bandwidth. Anyway, there are a couple of projects that need to be done. Boring, I know.

The anxiety that I wanted to keep to myself has been lifted. Now I can sleep a little better. I sure can say that the quote I once used has been rendered useless. You guys go figure it out yourself. I’m pretty sure that you know basic arithmetic. You’ll be able to figure it out if you also use a little imagination.

Ahhh…Augusts will not be the same again. Especially the August of 2006.

And all it needed was a few bites of ‘Brazo de Mercedez’, 2 tall glasses of water and a whole lot of guts. I just hope everything turns out well.

A quick ‘book’ meme

2006.08.10

Tagged by Pink with a meme. How it should go:

  1. Grab the nearest book.
  2. Open the book to page 123.
  3. Find the fifth sentence.
  4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
  5. Don’t you dare dig for that “cool” or “intellectual” book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
  6. Tag three people.

The book is called ‘SAP™ R/3 ABAP/4 Command Reference’ by I ‘m not sure about the author but I think it’s Dennis Barrett. Here’s what I got.

LOOP AT SCREEN. ... ENDLOOP.

While in a screen, the system itab SCREEN contains the following attributes of all the fields in the screen. LOOP AT SCREEN provides the ability to alter those attributes at runtime in the PBO module.

Okay, that’s roughly 3 sentences right? So time to go and tagging 3 people. I think I will tag (1) Carl, (2) Governor Nathan and (3) Snglguy. For those who weren’t tagged and want to do the meme, then go on ahead. No one’s stopping you right?

The book and the text I used for this meme may sound like it came from a Sci-fi movie. If you don’t understand them, then don’t ask me. Since I don’t even understand what the text is trying to tell me. LOL!

Something new

2006.08.05

erikku

In case y’all are wondering what that foreign-looking image above is, it’s my first name written in Katakana — one form of Japanese writing. Of course, I jazzed it up a bit with GIMP. Anyway, I’m actually teaching my brain some new tricks. Because as of last week, I have started learning the Japanese language. You might ask, “Why go through the trouble of learning such a complicated language?” One reason — Animé!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hajimemashite. Watashi wa Erikku desu. Douzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
